2nd of February 2012- Steens Industrier AS merges with Ring Mekanikk AS.
We are happy to announce that we have decided to go thru with a merger with Ring Mekanikk AS to
make it possible to develop and grow in a very competetive market. We hope and trust that it will be
benifitial for you as customer, for the coming years. It is a lot of work to be done, but the work is well

We will be closed the 16th and 17th of May due to national holiday. Our summervacation will be held in the period from the 9th of July until the 31st of July. We will be closed for easter holiday from 16th of April until 26th of April. You can still send us a mail with orders or other requests and we will take care of it when we are back. We wish all of our connections a happy easter.
17th of February 2011-Update and US situation
We have had a positive start of 2011 and hopefully this is a lasting development for the months to come. We have developed a new DVD containing almost all our equipment regarding the area of training and MET. All our dealers and vendors have been notified and the DVD is shipped when requested. At the same time we have to inform you that our dealer in the US market has chosen to limit their effort in selling our equipment. Therefore, we are seeking new customers on a direct basis for delivery of our equipment on a daily basis, but when we have estabilshed new vendor(s) in the US market, we will use them instead. The important thing is that our eqipment is available for all new and former US customers. We have attached a pdf document to locate and find suitable vendors in the US market. We are using all channels available to establish cooperation with one or more new vendors.

We are now closing in on the christmas and new years holiday. We can say that we have had a second half of 2010 that has been much better than the first half of the year. We can see some small signs that the world is improving regarding demand for our services and products. We will continue to serve you the best way we can and our web pages will be updated with more new photos and additional products in the coming months. We are also working on a completely new DVD with all information on our main products. It is important that you, as a customer, make sure to order the products you need in due time before the christmas holidays, to avoid any price increase or problems with our lead times. We will be closed in the period from 23rd of December 2010 until the 3rd of January 2011. We wish all our connections the very best for the rest of the year and a merry christmas and a happy new year!
17th of August 2010-Update
The summer vacation is over for most of us and we are looking forward to a busy autumn and
end of 2010. Our Japaneese dealer has picked up the speed and two containers of treatment
tables has been sent. We have been arranging MET course at a University in USA and we hope
that our distributor in the US, Patterson Medical, will benefit from the requests that the course
generates. On the other hand, our distributor for over 20 years in Belgium and the Netherlands,
Komeet bvba, has closed down. We regret this very much, but we have established an agreement
with our german distributor SR Equipment, and they will take care of any requests from old customers
of Komeet. You will find their adress on the distributors page. Our webzite is also beeing updated
frequently and more pictures are displayed. We are looking forward to a rewarding relationship with
you all in the coming months.

Start of 2010 and productinformation.
We wish all our customers the very best for the year 2010. 2009 is now history and we are looking ahead and are very excited to see what
2010 will bring. We will inform you that our pulley apparatus with weightplate will be taken out of production within 1st of March 2010. Additional information about this is placed as documents on the productpage for pulleys. We have also made some adjustments in our pricing of electrical tables and more information about this should come from your dealer.

New internetpages and christmas holiday.
We are very pleased to announce that the english version of our pages is now officially completed. We hope that they will
be of help to all our customers and future connections. It has been a lot of work making them, and we will do our very best in
keeping them updated at all times. However, should you discover faults or facts that you think is missing, we would like your feedback.
We are also informing you that we will be closed from the 19th of December 2009 until the 4th of January 2010. I hope you will place orders for delivery before christmas or right after new year in due time. This means that orders should be placed within the end of week 48. We have also included a link to holidays and vacations in Steens Industrier AS for the coming year.

Generell informasjon og ny forhandler i USA. General information and new distributor in USA.
Verden har tatt seg en "pust i bakken" og det har fått sine virkninger hos oss og hos våre kunder og leverandører. Vi gjør tilpasninger som markedet krever og sørger for at vi skal være oppegående også i disse tider. Vi arbeider ufortrødent videre med planlagte prosjekter og investeringer om enn i noe annet tempo og rekkefølge enn først planlagt. Vi kan se tegn til bedringer i markedet, men det går sakte. Vi følger nøye med på det som angår oss og håper å kunne ta en "Usain Bolt" når det snur for fullt. Markedsendringer har også medført at vår nye distributør i USA, Empi Inc. har blitt kjøpt opp av Sammons Preston(Patterson Medical) og vi arbeider derfor videre med de, med hensikt å etablere et samarbeid som skal gi oss de beste forutsetninger i det amerikanske markedet fremover.

The world has gone into a serious slowdown and that has implications at our company as well as at our suppliers and customers. We are doing the changes that the situation requires and we will make sure that we are "up and running" during this period. We are looking ahead and implementing our projects and plans for the future, even if we have to change the order or pace on projects. We are experiencing some signs of positive sentiment in the marketplace, but it is a slow process. We are following the market as close as we can and we are making adjustments accordingly. We hope this will result in the possibility for us taking a "Usain Bolt" when things really turn around. The situation in the market has also resulted in the fact that our new distributor in the American market, Empi Inc. has been bought by Sammons Preston(Patterson Medical) and we are working together with them to establish a relationship that, hopefully, will be benifitial for both parties and our common customers. Information om nytt ISO sertifikat/Information about new ISO certificate.
I dag har vi fått oversendt beviset på at vi er godkjent i.h.t. NS-EN ISO 9001:2008
standarden. Vi arbeider hele tiden for å oppnå forbedringer i alt vi foretar oss og det
har Nemko bekreftet ved å gi oss dette sertifikatet. Sertifikatet kan skrives ut ved å gå til valget products og klikke på kvalitet. Jeg håper dette viser at vi gjør det vi kan for å søke forbedringer slik at vi kan være den trygge leverandøren våre kunder ønsker seg.
Today, we have received the new quality certificate that confirms that we are approved according to the new NS-EN ISO 9001:2008 standard. We are constantly working to be better in every aspect of our business and that is now confirmed by Nemko by giving us the new certificate. The certificate can be seen or downloaded by going to products and choose the option Quality. I hope this confirmes our ability to be at our best, and working for improvement to secure our cooperation with our customers.

Steens Industrier AS er 60 år !!!
Vi vil bare informere om at Steens Industrier AS er 60 år i 2008. Vi er ganske stolte av dette og vet at det ikke er overflod av bedrifter som har eksistert i så lang tid. Dette betyr trygghet for våre kunder og at bedriften har gjort mange saker riktig gjennom mange år. Vi gratulerer oss selv og dere som kunder som har vært med på å gjøre dette mulig. Nøkterne som vi er, så tar vi ikke av på noen måte, men spanderte på oss en firmatur i den norske fjellheimen, denne høsten. Turen var vellykket og noen få bilder er presentert under.

We will just inform you about the fact that Steens Industrier AS is 60 years in 2008. We are proud of the fact that we have been in the market for so many years. Statistics show that it is not to many factories that exsist this long, but thanks to our customers, we have. This is an insurance for you, as a customer and a confirmation of the fact that we have been making a lot of right decisions over the last decades.
We will not celebrate in any extragavant fashion but we have travelled for a weekend in the Norwegian mountains. The trip was successfull, and a few pictures is presented below.

Some took the opportunity for a walk in the beautiful surrondings and the mountain.
Racing competition was held and it was to everybodys satisfaction. Laughter all around.
